Hi, I’m Tim Humphrey!
After almost 30 years in the consumer lending industry, I launched TrueNorth Solutions Group, LLC in January of 2025, as a way to help nascent, under-developed, or under-served Operations organizations implement a broad suite of solutions designed to scale their business and achieve performance results.
Just prior to starting up TrueNorth, I spent 10 years with Best Egg where I initially built their Operational Risk program when we were just 2 years into our journey to become one of the Fintech industry’s most successful Personal Loan lending platforms. Over the course of my career at Best Egg I was given responsibility over all Operations Strategies from Application Servicing, through Loan Boarding, and on through Servicing, Collections, and Recovery. Best Egg grew more product-diverse, offering customers a Credit Card, Vehicle Equity Loan, and a Home Secured Loan product. I also had the pleasure of leading our Bank Partnership strategies and relationships across that diverse product suite.
Prior to taking my leap into the Fintech space, I held several leadership positions within Collections Operations at Barclaycard US. My career at Barclaycard spanned 7 years, overlapping with the financial crisis of 2008 and the advent of Dodd-Frank, which radically changed the face of debt collections. I’m exceedingly proud of the results that my colleagues, vendor partners, and I achieved at Barclays throughout that challenging period in time.
I began my career in 1998 in Consumer Finance Collections at MBNA America. Donned a suit and tie (and pin) every morning to go strap on a headset and talk to our customers all day long. I spent 10 years at MBNA/Bank of America under great industry leaders, learning the building blocks of successful lending operations, strategy and control that still serve me well to this day.
I am originally from upstate New York, graduating with a bachelor’s degree from the School of Management at Binghamton University. My wife and I have two children, a daughter and a son, and we reside in southern Chester County, Pennsylvania.
